    As part of our growth plan, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager who is knowledgeable and proficient in weighing principles and industrial automation.  The ideal candidate will cover the Northern part of Germany and be proficient in German and English.  The successful candidate will enjoy frequent travel and will be located in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.

    Representative Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates PENKO sales activities for assigned region
    • Creates new customer contacts and works with existing customers
    • Serves as principal contact for customer throughout the sales process
    • Travel and visit customers continually
    • Follows up on sales leads promptly
    • Coordinate sending out marketing brochures and materials to potential customers
    • Provides demonstrations for customers
    • Provide current customer information for the company website
    • Provides updates for customer database
    • Maintains customer relationships
    • Works with customers on product development and modifications
    • Advises clients on available products/solutions
    • Follows sales orders from beginning to end
    • Follows up and negotiates pricing with customers
    • Agrees on delivery dates and terms
    • Helps finance collect late payments if necessary
    • Works closely with R&D to provide feedback for new products
    • Works closely with Professional Services on customer application solutions
    • Works with Inside Sales on order/quotation requests
    • Involved with production to understand how a product is built
    • Communicates any customer special requests back to Professional Services, manufacturing or R&D
    • Invites clients to PENKO trade shows/events
    • Provides training/seminars and demos on products
    • Looks for new business opportunities
    • Works with end users (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get PENKO involved with new projects
    • Helps out with trade show activities
    • Creates presentations
    • Prepares reports and lists on outstanding orders
    • Prepares sales reports for business development manager
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or its equivalent
    • 5-10 years sales experience in process industry
    • Understanding of weighing principles and industrial automation helpful
    • Previous production experience helpful
    • Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Responds quickly to customer needs and problems
    • Proactive and driven to find solutions
    • Keen interest to grow customer portfolio
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to deal with a variety of people

    • Computer skills: MS Office, SAP, Internet
    • Knowledge of PENKO products
    • Familiarity with competitors’ products
    • German, English and Dutch preferred
    • Ability to travel extensively including internationally
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license & passport
